De film volgt het leven van romanschrijver Stéphane Belcourt die na lange tijd terugkeert naar zijn geboortestad, en wordt gedwongen de herinneringen onder ogen te zien die hij ooit had achtergelaten, en zogenaamd achter zich had gelaten, maar nooit echt had verwerkt.

Belcourt komt oog in oog te staan met de zoon van zijn eerste liefde, Thomas Andrieu. ‘Lie with Me’, hoewel het zich in het heden afspeelt, neemt de kijkers mee naar het verleden met behulp van flashbacks, zodat iedereen een glimp kan opvangen van Belcourt’s eerste liefde en een prachtige romance.

Lie with Me is een romantische film over liefde, lust en oude vriendschappen, waarbij de personages proberen het leven dat ze nog hebben te begrijpen.

English description

The film follows the life of novelist Stéphane Belcourt as he returns to his hometown after a long time away and is forced to face the memories he once left behind, and supposedly left behind, but never really processed. 

Belcourt comes face to face with the son of his first love, Thomas Andrieu. Although set in the present, ‘Lie with Me’ takes viewers into the past using flashbacks, allowing everyone to catch a glimpse of Belcourt’s first love and a beautiful romance. 

Lie with Me is a romantic film about love, lust and old friendships, as the characters try to understand the life they have left.
